“DISCO POLO” takes cinema screens by storm! During its opening weekend, almost 250 thousand viewers went to see the new film by Maciej Bochniak! It is one of the most successful turnouts of a Polish production in the last few years.

It’s a wrap on the setting of “NA GRANICY” [Eng. Borderline], directed by Wojciech Kasperski. ALVERNIA STUDIOS is the film’s co-producer.

On 14 February, during the special Valentine’s performance entitled MARCIN WYROSTEK “MUSIC & DANCE SHOW – SYMPHONICALLY” (Spodek, Katowice), the new record by Marcin Wyrostek, entitled “FOR ALICE”, had its official premiere. The album was recorded at ALVERNIA STUDIOS.

23 February saw the premiere of Natalia Kukulska’s new 2-CD project, entitled “ÓSMY PLAN” [Eng. The eighth dimension]. One of the two CDs was recorded at ALVERNIA STUDIOS.

ALVERNIA STUDIOS and AGORA SA have signed an agreement making Agora the co-producer of DISCOPOLO. NEXT FILM, which is part of the Agora Group, is in charge of bringing the film to Polish cinemas. DISCOPOLO is currently in the post-production stage, and the premiere is scheduled for 27 February 2015.

The newest film by Jan Jakub Kolski, ”The Heart and the Sweetheart”, entered cinemas on November 21. ALVERNIA STUDIOS is the film’s co-producer.

On 28 November, the new CD recorded by Grzegorz Turnau at ALVERNIA STUDIOS, entitled “7 views en route to Kraków” has seen its premiere.The album was created in cooperation with Mariusz Pędziałek, Robert Kubiszyn, Cezary Konrad, Dorota Miśkiewicz and the Silesian Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Michał Nesterowicz. Individual compositions are based on a “travelling” suite composed by Turnau, entitled “7 views en route to Kraków” [original title: “7 widoków w drodze do Krakowa”].

DISCOPOLO saw its last shot on the film set. The new production by Maciek Bochniak stars outstanding Polish actors: Dawid Ogrodnik, Piotr Głowacki, Aleksandra Hamkało, Joanna Kulig and Tomasz Kot. DISCOPOLO is most recent ALVERNIA STUDIOS’ production.

Łukasz Palkowski’s premiere of BOGOWIE [Eng. “The Gods”] proved to be the prime discovery of the 39th Gdynia Film Festival. It was officially released for cinema distribution on October 10. Awarded the Golden Lions at the Festival, BOGOWIE is the story of the famous cardio-surgeon, Zbigniew Religa. ALVERNIA STUDIOS took charge of the sound post-production and the final mix.
