The finishing works have completed on Sci-Fi drama, SPACE AGE (a Hillbilly Television/Different Pictures/FremantleMedia UK production for Sky Arts), at ALVERNIA STUDIOS. ALVERNIA took on the production, filming, and VFX duties of the upcoming single film, a joint screenwriting debut for Nick Moran and Ralf Little. The one-off teleplay will form part of Sky Arts’ PLAYHOUSE PRESENTS, season airing from May 2014.

January started at ALVERNIA STUDIOS with the recording of music for the last project of Maestro Wojciech Kilar, a film directed by Krzysztof Zanussi, entitled “Obce ciało” [ Eng. “The Foreign Body”].

On January 10th, the Polish premiere of Wojtek Smarzowski’s “Pod Mocnym Aniołem” was staged at the Kijów.Centrum cinema in Kraków. The final mix took place at ALVERNIA STUDIOS towards the end of last year.

On January 27th, the debut album, “Śmiercie”, by Magda Kumorek, had its premiere. The tracks for the CD were recorded at ALVERNIA STUDIOS.

The recording and mixing of music for the new production of Kwadrat Theatre – a play entitled “Ciotka Karola 3.0”, took place at ALVERNIA STUDIOS towards the end of last year.

The ALVERNIA STUDIOS negative film-processing laboratory once again received the maximum amount of points in the KODAK IMAGECARE certification program. ALVERNIA has been a participant of the prestigious Kodak program since 2011 and is one of only 19 laboratories in the world that have been granted this certificate.

Shooting for the Jan Jakub Kolski’s latest film “Serce, serduszko i wyprawa na koniec świata” has just been finished. On the set, the ALVERNIA STUDIOS team closely cooperated with a cinematographer Piotr Lenar, providing SONY F65 camera, lenses, grip, lights and power generators. Furthermore, colour correction, music recording and final mix with Dolby printmastering will all be performed by ALVERNIA STUDIOS.

The filmmaking one stop shop, ALVERNIA STUDIOS and founder of leading Dutch production company Fu Works Productions, San Fu Maltha, announced a plan to offer international Producers a financial incentive scheme to encourage them to bring their projects to Poland.

The Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Szymon Bywalec worked in ALVERNIA STUDIOS on the recording of music for “Jack Strong”, directed by Władysław Pasikowski. Sebastian Witkowski and Piotr Witkowski (Head of Sound Department in ALVERNIA STUDIOS) were responsible for the recording.
