On January 27th, the debut album, “Śmiercie”, by Magda Kumorek, had its premiere. The tracks for the CD were recorded at ALVERNIA STUDIOS.

The album “Śmiercie”, recorded at ALVERNIA STUDIOS, was inspired by the love of folk music and the brilliant artistic legacy of one of the greatest poets of the Interwar Period – Bolesław Leśmian. The recording was supervised by Piotr Witkowski, Head of Sound at ALVERNIA STUDIOS.
Magda Kumorek composed the music for the album, with Piotr Dziubek as the music producer and the author of all of the arrangements included on the record. Piotr is a music composer for the biggest musical theatres in Poland.
The main theme of the record revolves around death. However, listeners will be hard-pressed to find melancholy on the record. Instead, “Śmiercie” is about challenging the inevitable in a ludic-rustic ambience, about the joy of life spiced up with a few notes of foot tapping in the background.
