Alvernia Studios uses a high-end Vicon’s Academy Award Winning Motion Capture System.
We have 24 powerful Vicon T160 cameras at our disposal which are able to capture images in a resolution of 16 Megapixels, at 120 frames per second. They enable simultaneous recording of event up to 6 actors at the same time. Alvernia Studios can also perform face motion capturing, both in individual sessions and during whole body capture.
Alvernia Studios’ workspace is nearly circular in shape – 9 m (29.5ft) in diameter and 5 m (16.5ft) in height, making it possible to perform event the most demanding recordings. The system is mobile and, if necessary, it can be moved to the location selected by a customer. Preview monitor placed near the workspace shows the effects of motion capture in real-time, giving the director of the session an opportunity to closely supervise the recording. Reference video is recorded simultaneously with the motion capture and used in further stages of production. Decorator’s workshop designs and builds props catered to the needs of a specific customer and session.
