First clapboard on the set of “Miasto 44″

On 11th May, in Praga District in Warsaw, Jan Komasa started shooting his newest feature film “Miasto 44″. Alvernia Studios equips the movie set with 35 mm cameras: ARRICAM Studio, ARRICAM Lite, ARRIFLEX 435 Xtreme. We also develop and transfer dailies from the set.

The story begins right before the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising on 1st August 1944. A group of friends ventures through the capital city during uprising fights. Polish film industry is to take up this issue for the first time since the famous 1956 movie “Kanal” directed by Andrzej Wajda. The premiere has been scheduled for 1st August 2014, which marks the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising.

 

Akson Studio owned by Michał Kwieciński is responsible for the production. We have already cooperated with Akson Studio during the production of  “Essential Killing” by Jerzy Skolimowski.
