The Digital Intermediate Department of Alvernia Studios was equipped with an additional film recorder Arrilaser 2 High Speed 4K with an auto geometry pitch mode. The basic improvement in respect to the previous model from ARRI is over twice shorter time of frame recording. Arrilaser 2 works at the speed of 0,8 second / frame at the image resolution of 2K and 1,3 second / frame at the image resolution of 4K.
Arrilaser 2 represents the next generation of film recorders. The main advantage of a new, Linux-based software is its ability to control and operate multiple lasers with the ease of just one application which can be accessed from anywhere in the network. Arrilaser 2 also features a newly designed GUI that provides a constant overview of recordings in progress.
Arrilaser 2 joins the Celco Fury 4K Film Recorder so far used in our studio. The choice between the technologies based on laser and CRT enables creative decisions, gives the ultimate experience in productivity, stability and flexibility, as well as guarantees the highest image quality.
