Alvernia Studios takes part in “Obława”

The shooting of the war thriller by Marcin Krzyształowicz has started in Małopolska.  Alvernia Studios provides the equipment and the crew.

 

The action of “Obława” (“Hunting”)is set during the World War II. Marcin Krzyształowicz’s film is a partisan ballad showing the real face of the occupation on one hand, and shocking war thriller on the other. The main character is Corporal Wydra, a partisan soldier, who struggles not only with the Germans and Polish traitors, but also with his past … The main characters of ‘Obława’- Corporal Wydra (Marcin Dorociński), confident Kondolewicz (Maciej Stuhr), his wife (Sonia Bohosiewicz), nurse Pestka (Weronika Rosati) and Lieutenant Mak (Andrzej Zielinski) – are entangled in the web of dependence. The game of appearances, which takes place between them, gradually reveals another levels of intrigue, until the surprising finale.

 

The shooting has started on 15th November and will last until 20th January 2012. The shooting location is Słomniki and Rytro in Małopolska region. Alvernia Studios provides the crew and the equipment – lights, power generator, star dressing room, makeup and wardrobe trailer and honeywagon.

Director of photography is Arkadiusz Tomiak („Zero”, „Daas”), art director is Grzegorz Skawiński („Katyn”, „Generał. Zamach na Gibraltarze”), Magdalena J. Rutkiewicz („The Offsiders”, „Rose”) is responsible for costumes, Ewa Drobiec („Maiden Vows”, „Rose”) for make-up, Piotr Domaradzki („Ostatnia misja”, „Daas”) and Bartosz Putkiewicz („Suicide Room”, „Sztos 2”) for  sound, and Wojciech Mrówczyński („Welts”, „Mall Girls”) for editing.

 

„Obława” is produced by Skorpion Arte („Ki”, „Księstwo”), and coproduce by Telekomunikacja Polska S.A., Krakow Festival Office, ORKA Studio Postprodukcyjne and Non Stop Film Service. „Obława” is co-financed by Polish Film Institute and Krakow Regional Film Fund. The premiere is scheduled on autumn 2012, the distributor is Kino Świat.
